The way I killed it, I hid in the Selune temple and shot one of the petrified Drow, that triggered the Spectator spawn, skipped the surprise round, and allowed me to fight it in a choke point. Oddly enough I was able to knock it off a cliff, but then you can't loot it that way. I was able to reload and kill it normally with that strategy.
